(NORTH PERTH, ON) – A West Grey driver was arrested and charged early this morning when they were caught driving while suspended.
On October 19 2020, just after 2:00 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Huron County OPP were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program on Perth Line 86, at the border with Huron County, when a vehicle was observed with an LED light bar attached to the front grill, which is a Highway Traffic Act offence. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver was suspended from driving, and had cannabis readily available.
As a result, Blake Edward TISDALE, 34, of West Grey Township, has been charged with:
Driving while Under Suspension
Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis Readily Available
A seven day driving suspension and 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
