(TORONTO, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault investigation. On October 5, 2023, the OPP received a complaint regarding a historical sexual assault from 2007. On Monday, March 25th, 2024, members of the Hanover Police attended a business in the 1000 block of 10th Street regarding a theft. On arrival police spoke with the 48-year-old female suspect. During the early morning hours of Friday, March 22nd, 2024, Hanover Police while investigating a separate matter observed a known 52-year-old Hanover man in the passenger seat of a vehicle. A Guelph man was arrested after another man was stabbed twice Thursday night. Just after 11 p.m. police were called for reports of an injured male on Gordon Street near Nottingham Street. A Guelph man is charged with attempted murder after a woman was severely injured Wednesday morning.
