Repeat Offender From Clinton Charged Again – Mathew SCHRAEDER

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid drug trafficking charges against a Central Huron resident following a traffic stop that took place this past weekend.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 a Huron OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling northbound on Bayfield Road with a headlight out. A licence plate check was conducted and it revealed the owner of the vehicle was currently bound by a 10:00 p.m. curfew. A traffic stop was initiated and it revealed the driver was in fact the owner of the vehicle and he was failing to comply with his curfew condition.

He was promptly arrested and a search incident to arrest found the driver to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl and Methamphetamine. Additionally, he was found in possession of drug trafficking materials.

Mathew SCHRAEDER, 35 years of age from Clinton has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking and Fail to Comply with Release Order (Two Counts).

He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 29, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
