Drug Bust – Names Released

(RENFREW, ON) – Four people are facing drug trafficking and other charges after search warrants were executed in Arnprior.

On January 24, 2025, four people were arrested and charged without incident.

As part of an ongoing investigation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), the Emergency Response Team (ERT), and members of the Renfrew Detachment executed two search warrants on Friday, January 24, 2025, on Burwash Street in the Town of Arnprior.

A subsequent search of the residence and vehicle revealed nearly 28 grams of suspected cocaine, almost 20 pills of suspected trazadone, over four grams of crack cocaine, and over 210 grams of an unknown white powder (suspected cutting agent). Officers also seized a conducted energy weapon (taser), seven cell phones, debt lists, almost $280 in cash, and other items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Brandon MCCALLUM, age 42 from Arnprior was charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Unauthorized possession of weapon

·      Failure to comply with release order – three counts

This accused was held for bail.

Archie JOLICOEUR, age 51 from Arnprior was charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Unauthorized possession of weapon

·      Failure to comply with release order – two counts

This accused was held for bail.

Tim BOURQUE, age 41 and Courtney CLOUTHIER age 31, from Arnprior, were both charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

·      Unauthorized possession of weapon

Both of these accused were released and are scheduled to attend the Ontario court of Justice in Pembroke on March 5, 2025.

LAROCQUE Facing Numerous Fraud Charges – Police Fear More Victims

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following reports of fraudulent interactions involving a snow removal and general contracting business.

Victims reported that they paid for services which the business failed to provide.

As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Michael Richard Lee LAROCQUE of Arnprior has been charged with:

·        Fraud under $5000- 16 counts

·        Obtaining by false pretence under $5000- 16 counts

·        Fraud over $5000

·        Obtaining by false pretence over $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 19, 2025.

This is an ongoing and complex investigation, and the charges have not been proven in court. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of fraud, and has not spoken to investigators, should contact Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Drug Bust – MCCALLUM & PICHETTE

(RENFREW, ON) – Two people are facing numerous drug trafficking charges in Arnprior.

As part of an ongoing investigation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and members of the Renfrew Detachment conducted a traffic stop in Arnprior on December 13, 2024. Two people were arrested without incident.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed nearly 50 grams of suspected cocaine, more than 10 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 400 suspected methamphetamine tablets, over 17 grams of suspected crack cocaine, more than 20 capsules of amphetamine salts, four cell phones, a replica firearm, items typically associated with drug trafficking and almost $2900 in cash.

Brandon MCCALLUM, age 42, and Natasha PICHETTE, age 34, both from Arnprior, are charged with:

·      Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – six counts

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Both accused were released from custody following bail hearings. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 29, 2025.

18 Year Old Deceased Following Collision

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Technical Collision Investigation team are continuing to investigate a fatal collision.

On Friday, December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP attended a collision involving a car and a transport truck on Highway 17 at Storyland Road.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old male from Shawville, Quebec, was transported to hospital for life threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased at hospital.

The highway was closed for several hours to allow for the Technical Collision Investigator (OPP) and the Reconstructionist (OPP) to conduct the investigation.

More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people for impaired driving.

On November 21, 2024, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Renfrew OPP received a traffic complaint in the Town of Arnprior.

Police located the vehicle on Decosta Street and completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Christine Dawn PHILLIPS, age 52 of Arnprior was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on December 19, 2024.

On November 23, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP was conducting a RIDE Program on Burnstown Road, in the Township of McNab-Braeside. Officers stopped a vehicle and suspected a driver to be impaired.

Police completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Cameron MCNULTY, age 21 of Pakenham was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Operate motor vehicle without insurance

·      Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 22, 2024.

Carrie EDWARDS – Drunk Driving

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after a traffic stop in the Town of Renfrew.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Renfrew OPP completed a traffic stop on Bank Street South, in the Town of Renfrew. Officers stopped the vehicle for driving with no headlights and failing to stop at the stop sign.

Officers completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Carrie EDWARDS, age 51 of Renfrew was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Drive without proper headlights- motor vehicle

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 15, 2025.

Justice EUROPE Was Arrested Again

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a stolen vehicle and charged one person.

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Renfrew OPP stopped a vehicle for stunt driving on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside.

The investigation revealed the vehicle to be stolen, and the driver was taken into custody. During that time, the driver produced multiple false identifications to police and was charged accordingly.

As a result of the investigation, Justice EUROPE, age 31 of Orillia, ON, was charged with:

·      Obstruct peace officer

·      Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000- in Canada

·      Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (identity fraud)

·      Fail to comply with probation order

·      Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

·      Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt- excessive speed

·      Driving while under suspension

The accused was held in custody.

Payton-Lynn Stewart Jordan Was Arrested

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two people after a traffic stop on HWY 17.

On November 11, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Renfrew OPP completed a traffic stop on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside Township for speeding.

Officers completed a roadside breath test with an Approved Screening Device.

As a result of the investigation, Payton-Lynn Stewart Jordan, age 25 of McNab-Braeside was charged with:

·      Novice Driver- B.A.C. above zero

·      Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Fail to surrender insurance card

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 15, 2025.

The passenger of the vehicle was charged on an outstanding warrant.

2 More Impaired Drivers

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two drivers with impaired driving in less than a week.

On October 31, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Renfrew OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driver. While officers were on their way, the vehicle was involved in a head- on collision on Highway 17 between Cobden and Haley Station.

When police arrived on scene, the driver fled on foot. An individual was located hiding in the bushes nearby and was taken into custody.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to hospital by the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Corbin Blair PARKS, age 36 of Eganville was charged with:

·      Dangerous operation

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Failure to stop after accident

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 8, 2025.

On November 1, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Renfrew OPP received multiple calls regarding a suspicious vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and blaring their horn on Burnstown Road near John Box Street.

Police quickly located the vehicle, and the driver was taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, David Herbert BADHAM, age 61 of Burnstown was charged with:

·      Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 8, 2025.

Daniel Edward MOORE Was Arrested Again

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle.

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP responded to Jennet Street in Renfrew.

Officers located the vehicle and determined that it had been reported stolen out of Ottawa earlier that day. One male was located sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Daniel Edward MOORE, age 47 of Renfrew, was charged with:

·      Failure to comply with probation order

·      Possession property obtained by crime over $5000

·      Take motor vehicle without consent

The accused was held for bail.
