(HOWICK, ON) – A group of teenagers found themselves getting arrested last week on their April School Break after they were caught vandalizing the pavilion at the Wroxeter ball diamond.
Just before 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the ball diamond pavilion located on Marietta Street in Wroxeter after a witness reported some youth were walking on the roof and were damaging the building.
Officers arrived on scene and were able to catch up with the six teenagers that tried to flee the scene. A check on the building revealed damage to the pavilion roof, damage to a window and damage caused by dumped oil and a spent fire extinguisher.
The six youth ages 13 to 15 will have the opportunity to have a Mischief charge diverted if they successfully complete a Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) program.
Huron OPP credits the community members that promptly called police with solving this case.
