Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a youth in connection to a stabbing incident in Kitchener.
On July 21, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m., police responded to a disturbance in the area of Homer Watson Boulevard and Conestoga College Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old male who had been assaulted with an edged weapon. The victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old Mississauga youth was arrested and charged with:
Aggravated assault
Assault with a weapon
Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
Breach of recognizance
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted.
The suspect is described as a white male, 17 years old, approximately 5’10” tall and 150 pounds, with a thin build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the General Investigations Unit.
