ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ADMINISTER NOXIOUS THING
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on July 21, 2026, and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of administer noxious thing. On July 21, 2026, Cornwall Police Service officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth assaulted two individuals known to her by discharging coyote spray into their faces. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on July 21, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on April 27, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, she attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On July 21, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS officer, who was investigating an unrelated matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 25, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth from Williamstown was arrested on July 21, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 9, 2026, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court as per undertaking. On July 21, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court at a later date.

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on July 21, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 20, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On July 21, 2026, the woman was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and she was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Kemptville, ON, was arrested on July 21, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On June 17, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and assaulted the woman with a drink. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of domestic assault and domestic assault with a weapon. On July 21, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 21, 2026, and charged with breach of recognizance and sexual assault. On July 20, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to investigate a sexual assault complaint. It is alleged on July 20, 2026, the man was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, he sexually assaulted an individual. As a result of the investigation, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On July 21, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 25, 2026.
