Stolen Pickup Truck Involved In Collision

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking anyone who may have witnessed a single vehicle collision involving a stolen pick-up truck over the Easter weekend to contact police.

During the evening of Sunday April 12 2020, a white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck was stolen from a rural location on Line 46, in the Rostock area. The keys had been left inside vehicle.

The abandoned truck was recovered a short time later in a drainage ditch in the area of Perth Line 49 and Perth Road 155, in the Municipality of West Perth, after it had been involved in a single vehicle collision. It is unknown if the driver sustained any injuries in the collision. Witnesses are being asked to contact the OPP with information.

The OPP is reminding vehicle owners to lock their vehicles and remove the keys.
