(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On September 9, 2020, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious workplace injury at a construction site on Schmidt Drive, in Arthur.
Initial reports indicated that a 24-year-old male from Woodstock, Ontario was working on a piece of heavy machinery when he was struck in the head by large steel bolt.
OPP as well as and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services attended and treated the patient. He was transported from the scene to local hospital and later to a trauma centre hospital with serious injuries.
The Ministry of Labour (MOL) is investigating.
