(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a North Huron resident with driving related charges following a traffic stop that took place yesterday morning.
On Monday, April 27, 2020 at approximately 10:00 a.m. a Huron OPP officer was patrolling around Belfast when the officer spotted a suspected suspended driver operating a cross-over utility vehicle.
A traffic stop was completed and upon checking on the licence status of the driver police learned the driver was prohibited from driving due to Criminal Code convictions, as well the driver was currently suspended. As such the driver was arrested and taken into custody.
Shannon HUNTER, 37 years of age, from North Huron has been charged with Operation While Prohibited and Driving While Under Suspension. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 6, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
