One Airlifted Following Collision

(PERTH SOUTH, ON) – One person was seriously injured and airlifted by Ornge Air Ambulance after a collision on Highway 7 yesterday.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on November 11 2020, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedics, and the St. Marys Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 7, southwest of Line 9, in the Township of Perth South.

The preliminary investigation revealed that two vehicles were travelling on the overpass on Highway 7, when they collided head-on.

The driver of one vehicle, a 24-year-old London resident, sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries, and as a result was transported to hospital via Ornge Air Ambulance. The driver of the second vehicle, a 59-year-old resident of Perth South, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.
