Methamphetamine Bust – LARSEN, EMBLING & BARRY

(HURON EAST, ON) – A drug trafficking investigation conducted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) over the last few months has led to charges against three residents of Huron East.

On September 16, 2020 at approximately 10:04 p.m. Huron OPP initiated a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle on Front Road in Seaforth. As a result of the investigation officers had established grounds to arrest a male subject in the vehicle.

A search incident to arrest resulted in police seizing suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Psilocybin. Along with seized drugs, police seized offence related property consisting of a cell phone, packaging materials and a digital scale.

The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is $3,871.

John LARSEN, 45 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Psilocybin, Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order – (3) counts and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 25, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Luke EMBLING, 37 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Psilocybin and Facilitating a Breach of a Judicial Order (2) counts. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 30, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Thomas BARRY, 38 years of age from Huron East has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Psilocybin and Fail to Comply With Probation Order.
