Methamphetamine Bust In Seaforth – LOGAN

(HURON EAST, ON) – A traffic stop conducted by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers last week in Seaforth has led to numerous charges against a Seaforth resident.

At approximately 1:16 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 a Huron OPP officer observed a car travelling westbound on Goderich Street West with no headlights activated. A traffic stop was initiated and upon stopping the vehicle officers determined the driver was currently suspended from driving.

Upon informing the driver that he was going to be arrested he became combative and resisted arrest. Upon gaining control of the accused he was taken into custody and a search was conducted.

A search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in officers locating quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and psilocybin. Further investigation revealed the motor vehicle was not insured.

Frederick LOGAN, 24 years of age from Seaforth has been charged with the following offences:

Resist Peace Officer

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

Possession of a Schedule III Substance – Psilocybin

Driving While Under Suspension

Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance

Drive Motor Vehicle, No Validation

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for April 20, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
