Hero Citizen Calls 911 After Children Consume Drugs With Strangers And Vomit On Beach

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – On Thursday, July 9, 2020, at approximately 6:47 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an ambulance assistance call at a Cedar Drive, Norfolk County address.

It was determined that a 14-year-old youth from Guelph, Ontario and a 14-year-old youth from Kitchener, Ontario were at the Turkey Point Beach when they met a group of unknown individuals from the Brantford area. Both youths then went to a vehicle where they consumed drugs and then returned to the beach area.

While on the beach, a concerned person contacted 9-1-1 after noticing the youths vomiting and falling asleep. Norfolk County Paramedic Services attended and transported both by ambulance to a local area hospital for further treatment.

The OPP is urging all parents and caregivers to speak to their children about the dangers of consuming any drugs and taking anything from individuals that they do not know.
