Drunk Driver Rolls Vehicle – Jakob WEBB

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh resident with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus following a motor vehicle crash investigation that took place this weekend.

On Sunday, May 24, 2020 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Huron OPP officers responded to the intersection of Sharpe’s Creek Line & Maitland Line to investigate a single motor vehicle rollover crash. Upon connecting with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking some alcohol so a roadside screening test was conducted. The driver complied with the demand and his test resulted in a fail.

He was placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were measured to be above the legal limit.

Jakob WEBB, 23 years of age, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus). He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 6, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. His vehicle has been impounded and his licence has been suspended for 90 days.
