(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Seaforth resident with Impaired Operation and 80 Plus following a traffic stop that occurred early this morning in Seaforth.
Early this morning at approximately 2:25 a.m. a Huron OPP officer observed a pickup truck travelling erratically northbound Main Street. After watching the driver nearly strike a curb at Side Street a traffic stop was initiated. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol and was now displaying signs of impairment.
As a result the driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were determined to be above the legal limit.
Adam JONES, 27 years of age from Seaforth has been charged with Operation While Impaired & Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus). He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 1, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
