(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) always appreciates receiving tips from the public, especially when the information results in crimes being prevented or solved. This is exactly what happened around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday April 11 2020, when a concerned citizen alerted members of the OPP to trespassers at a property on Highway 23, north of Listowel.
When police arrived a few minutes later, a black Dodge pick-up truck fled the scene through a field. One person was located on the property, and was arrested for trespassing.
Chantel GIBSON, 26, of Listowel, is charged with Enter Premises when Entry Prohibited, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act, and was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for the offence.
