3 Vehicle Collision Seriously Injures 2

(MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST, ON) – On March 19, 2020 at 6:43 a.m., the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 3 vehicle crash along Huron County Road 86 in the Municipality of Huron East. Officers arrived with Howick Township fire fighters and Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find a dump truck and 2 passenger vehicles involved. Initial investigation has determined that the passenger vehicles collided head-on.

Three occupants of the passenger vehicles were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One of the involved drivers was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a London hospital with life-altering injuries.

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team are assisting the Huron County OPP with this investigation.

Huron County Road 86 is closed between Brussels Line and Perth Road 178 for the safety of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

The investigation is in the early stages.
