$100,000 Drug Bust – BUTT #Enough #StandYourGround

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On February 12, 2020, in response to an ongoing investigation of illicit drug trafficking in Leamington, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Robson Road in Leamington.

As a result, the following items were seized:

cocaine – approximately one kilogram;

approximately $20,000 in Canadian and U.S. currency;

methamphetamine – approximately 90 grams; and with

approximately $50,000 of suspected proceeds of crime, including a 2019 motor vehicle, high-end electronics and clothing.

Jesse Lee BUTT, 29-years-old of Leamington, is charged with the following offenses:

Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine;

Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine; and with

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Leamington on April 2, 2020.

Individuals engaged in the sale and distribution of illicit narcotics have the full attention of the OPP. This week’s seizure in the Town of Leamington was significant and those who profit from drug trafficking and feed the addiction of others
