Cocaine Bust In Wasaga Beach

(TOWN OF WASAGA BEACH, ON) – Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant which resulted in an arrest and drug related charges being laid in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

In January 2024, Huronia West Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) initiated a drug trafficking investigation involving an individual who was allegedly trafficking drugs in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. Police were able to gather evidence further advancing their investigation.

On April 25, 2024, members from Huronia West, Collingwood, Southern Georgian Bay and Nottawasaga CSCU conducted an entry at an address in Wasaga Beach and simultaneously Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) conducted an entry at a separate address in Wasaga Beach.

During the search, officers seized a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, indicia of drug trafficking along with a weapon.

Daniel CLARKE, 26-year-old of Brampton, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
  • Trafficking Schedule I Substance – Opioid
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood at a later date.

60Kg Cocaine & 13Kg Meth Seized – Names Released

(TORONTO, ON) – Twenty illegal firearms and 73 kilograms of illicit drugs have been seized by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG).  

The OPP-led PGNG assisted the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Organized Crime Division with a drug trafficking investigation that identified large quantities of cocaine transported between Toronto and Montréal and the surrounding area.

On March 27, 2024, PGNG executed two search warrants on a vehicle and a residence on Ridelle Avenue in Toronto. The following items were seized:

·      Approximately 60 kilograms of cocaine

·      Approximately 13 kilograms of methamphetamine

·      20 firearms including 19 handguns and one assault rifle

·      3,000 rounds of ammunition

·      53 magazines

·      Four drum magazines

·      66 Glock auto switches (used to convert to automatic firearms)

·      Three bullet proof vests

·      One ballistic helmet

Bradley NELSON, 35 years of age of Whitby, was arrested in Toronto by PGNG. The accused has been charged with a total of 68 charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including:

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm – 20 counts

·      Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized – 20 counts

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking firearms – 19 counts

·      Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order – two counts

·      Possession of a prohibited device – two counts

·      Careless storage of a firearm

·      Trafficking of a controlled substance, cocaine

·      Trafficking of a controlled substance, methamphetamine

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking, cocaine

·      Possession for the purpose of trafficking, methamphetamine

The accused was held in custody and will appear before an Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on May 2, 2024.

Soloman JAFFRI Facing 14 Charges

(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Ottawa Detachment have laid multiple charges against a 30-year-old Lakeshore, Ontario resident after responding to a report of a possible impaired driver.

On April 9, 2024, shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers received a call about the possible impaired driver on Highway 417, near Highway 7. Officers located and stopped the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.

A search of the truck also revealed a large amount of alcohol, including open alcohol. An OPP Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector also found numerous infractions. 

Soloman JAFFRI has been charged under the Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Highway Traffic Act, Environmental Protection Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
  • Adult Posses of Schedule I Substance – Cocaine
  • Driving While Under Suspension
  • Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle with Air Brake – No Endorsement
  • Fail to Maintain Daily Log
  • Fail to Accurately Complete Daily Inspection Report
  • Fail to Carry CVOR Certificate or Lease
  • Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
  • Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle
  • Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle – No Valid CVOR Certificate
  • Operate Vehicle – Fail to Display Inspection Sticker or Proof
  • Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
  • Adult Insecure Load – Commercial Motor Vehicle
  • Adult Owner – Operating Vehicle – Missing Emission Control Equipment

The accused was released and is set to appear in Ottawa Court at a later date.

TRUDEAU Arrested In Drug Bust

(ESPANOLA, ON) – Two people have been arrested and charged after being stopped at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program.

On April 10, 2024, shortly after 2:00 a.m., the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Highway 6 in Espanola.

While a vehicle was stopped at the R.I.D.E., police observed open alcohol within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants was conducted, which led to the discovery of suspected drugs. Police located and seized approximately 56 grams of suspected cocaine and a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $8,000. Both vehicle occupants were subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment.

As a result of the investigation, Kelsie JOCKO, 29-years-old from Wikwemikong Unceded Territory has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a prohibited device
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Operate motor vehicle without insurance
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

Jeffrey TRUDEAU, 36-years-old from Wikwemikong Unceded Territory has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Both accused persons were held in custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury Bail Court on April 10, 2024.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

1/2 Kilo Cocaine Bust

(SUDBURY, ON) – Two individuals have been charged after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Ontario Street in Sudbury by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team (PGNG) and the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) Drug Enforcement Team.

The following items were seized:

·      Nearly half a kilogram of cocaine

·      $2,440 in Canadian currency

·      six cell phones

·      drug trafficking paraphernalia

Ayman ABDULKHALIK, 23 of Etobicoke has been charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule 1 substance, cocaine, for the purpose of trafficking – two counts

·      Failure to comply with a release order – six counts

·      Possession of proceeds of crime

 Kayla LEGREE, 37 of Sudbury has been charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule 1 substance, cocaine, for the purpose of trafficking – two counts

·      Failure to comply with a probation order – two counts

This investigation was supported by the:

ABDULKHALIK was held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on April 19, 2024. LEGREE was released from custody and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on May 22, 2024.

$42,000 Cocaine Bust

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – On February 24, 2024, at approximately 5:25 a.m., officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a person causing a disturbance at a commercial property on King Street East in the Township of Cramahe.

Upon locating the individual, officers were led into a drugs investigation as 427 grams of suspected Cocaine was seized.

As a result the investigation, OPP arrested a person on April 9, 2024.

Tara TURK, 38-years-old, from Colborne, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine

The total street value of the seized drugs is worth approximately $42,700.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

$50,000 Drug Bust

(RED LAKE, ON) – Members of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals with drug related charges.

On April 3rd 2024, just after 9:00 p.m., while conducting proactive general patrol on Howey Street, members of the Red Lake OPP Detachment observed a parked motor vehicle with a passenger littering on the highway. Officers conducted a traffic stop and throughout the investigation, a large amount of suspected Oxycodone tabs, Codeine tabs, Crack Cocaine and Cocaine were located and seized. The street value of the drugs, travelling to the First Nation community of Sandy Lake, was approximately $50,000 CAD.

Both occupants were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Red Lake OPP Detachment.

As a result, Samantha KENT, 49 years old, of Sandy Lake First Nation, has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts

Furthermore, John NOON, 50 years old, of Sandy Lake First Nation, has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts

Both accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on July 18th, 2024.

Drug Bust – 9 Arrested

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged nine people following the execution of a search warrant in Quinte West.

On April 3, 2024, at approximately 05:00 a.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members of the Quinte West Detachment, executed a search warrant at a residence on King Street, Trenton, as part of a drug trafficking investigation. As a result, nine people were arrested resulting in cash, ammunition, suspected cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine being confiscated.

Brian CALLADINE, 46 years old from Bancroft, Olivia KARGUS, 32 years old and Jonathan SPRADBROW, 35 years old from Quinte West were charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

Tanya COOPER, 45 years old and Dana PARKER, 40 years old from Quinte West were charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Brian CALLADINE, Tanya COOPER, Olivia KARGUS and Dana PARKER were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on a future court date. The other five accused were held for a bail hearing.

Cocaine Bust – PASTOOR, PENDER & KIMEWON

(PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged three people with drug related offences after a traffic stop on Hillcrest Avenue in Parry Sound.

On April 2, 2024, just before 11:00 p.m. officers stopped the vehicle for a sobriety check and observed open alcohol in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating suspected cocaine and MDMA with an estimated street value of over $5,000 as well as over $1100 in Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation Jacob PASTOOR 29-year-old from Seguin was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drug
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Driver fail to surrender licence
  • Having care and control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor

Ashley PENDER, 34-years-old from Seguin was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drug

Both accused persons were released and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on May 30, 2024.

Savana KIMEWON, 22-years-old from Parry Sound was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drug
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.00

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 3, 2024.

7 Gram Drug Bust #WorldSaved

(SPANISH, ON) – On March 27, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Doyle Street in Spanish.

As a result of the warrant being executed, over 7 grams of pre-packaged suspected cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials, and cell phone was seized. 

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and uniform members were involved with the investigation.         

Bryan JONES, 39-years-old, of Spanish was charged with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

·      Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on May 2, 2024.

Steve GRANBERG, 47-years-old, of Massey, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in relation to a previous occurrence in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township. He was subsequently arrested and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on May 2, 2024.
