(ST. CLAIR TWP, ON) – On November 16, 2020 at approximately 9:30 p.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol on Stanley Line, St. Clair Township.
While on patrol, a Lambton OPP member initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle being operated erratically. Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples of breath above the legal limit.
Ronald SHEFFER, 70 year old of St. Clair TWP, has been charged with Operation While Impaired- Alcohol and Blood and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia, Ontario at a later date.
