Matthew SWITZER & Mark FLYNN Arrested In Walkerton

(WALKERTON, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two impaired drivers in Walkerton. One driver was arrested as a result at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint, the second driver officer was spotted on patrol by an officer.

On June 7, 2024, members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE checkpoint in Walkerton in the Municipality of Brockton. At approximately 12:50 a.m., police stopped a vehicle to check the sobriety of the driver, they were displaying signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

Matthew SWITZER, 22-years-old, from the Municipality of Brockton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 3:28 a.m., a driver was stopped by a member of the South Bruce OPP on patrol on Victoria Street South in Walkerton in the Municipality of Brockton. The driver displayed signs of impairment.

Mark FLYNN, 37-years-old, from the Municipality of Brockton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
