(WEST NIPISSING, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual who was breaching release conditions.
On Tuesday April 15, 2025, at approximately 12:50 p.m., Nipissing West OPP were notified that an individual with a court ordered tracking device on their ankle, fled on foot from a residence on Alphonse Road, West Nipissing.
With the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit, the individual was later located and arrested.
As a result of the investigation, Martin AYOTTE, 38 years-of-age, from West Nipissing, was charged with, failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court and fail to comply with Probation Order.
The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 16, 2025, in North Bay.
