(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On December 18, 2020, at approximately 8:15 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft in progress at a business on Side Road 14 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Upon arrival, police arrested two suspects at the scene. Police recovered a quantity of metal cable which had been stolen from the business.
During the investigation, police seized drug paraphernalia and substances believed to be Fentanyl and Oxycodone.
Bryan John RUNSTADTLER, 52-years-old of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with;
- Theft Under $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code.
- Fail to Comply with Release Order, contrary to the Criminal Code.
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance-Opioid (2 counts) contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
RUNSTADTLER was held for a Bail Hearing and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice-Guelph.
Keith Edward CORBIT, 49-years-old of Guelph has been charged with;
- Theft Under $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance-Opioid contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
CORBIT is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice-Guelph on January 19, 2021 to answer to the charges.
