(BLUEWATER, ON) – A South Huron resident has been arrested and charged with Impaired Operation following a traffic stop conducted in Hensall this past weekend.
Just before 9:00 p.m. on April 10, 2021 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checks in Hensall when a pickup truck entered into the checkpoint. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer immediately noted the driver had consumed some alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment.
The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. The accused later provided two samples of his breath to the qualified Intoxilizer and both samples were found to be above the legal limit.
Andrew NEDZA, 58 years of age, from South Huron has been charged with Impaired Operation and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for May 31, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
