Bishnu SUBEDI – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) – On November 20, 2020, at approximately 10:50 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver travelling southbound on Highway 6. It was reported that the vehicle struck the centre median, was swerving all over the road, varying speeds and almost caused a head on collision.

Police located the vehicle on Highway 401 and conducted a traffic stop. Police spoke to the driver and determined that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and they were placed under arrest. The driver was transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Bishnu SUBEDI, 23-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood) Dangerous Driving contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on January 8, 2021.
