65 Year Old From Wiarton Arrested For Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On December 15, 2020 at 7:46 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on 24th Street West, near the intersection of Carney Street, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs, ON. A pick-up truck was currently stuck in the ditch, after leaving the roadway.

OPP officers attended the scene and spoke with the driver, who displayed obvious signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Grey Bruce OPP detachment in Chatsworth. A breath test, conducted by a qualified Intoxilyzer operator at the detachment, recorded readings over three times the legal limit of 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. 

Grey Bruce OPP have charged Bradley SUTTER, 65 years-of-age, from Wiarton, ON, with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, section 320.14(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and operation while impaired with blood alcohol concentration 80 mgs or more, section 320.14(1)(b) CCC.

The accused’s driver’s licence is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating was towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused was released on an Appearance Notice and is required to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 21, 2021.
