Huron Perth Snow Squall Warning – 50km Winds To Create Hazardous Traveling Conditions

Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
  • Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
  • Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
  • Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County

Snow squalls continuing through this afternoon.

Snow squalls will continue into this afternoon before weakening this evening. Wind gusts up to 50 km/h will result in local blowing snow, particularly over exposed areas.

Hazards:
Additional local snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm by this evening
Quickly accumulating snow of 2 to 3 cm per hour at times
Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow

Impacts:
Travel is likely to be hazardous through this afternoon.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
