Fatal Collision in Wilmot Township

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a fatal collision in Wilmot Township.

On August 1, 2026, at approximately 4:55 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diamond Road.

Through the initial investigation, it was determined that two vehicles, a grey Toyota and a white Honda, were involved in a collision at the intersection.

The driver of the Toyota, a 70-year-old female from Wilmot Township, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old Kitchener male, and two passengers were transported to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger in the Honda was transported to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing by the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit.
