Youth Charged Following Targeted Robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges following a robbery in Kitchener.

On July 27, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of Highland Road West for a report of an incident involving a weapon.

Through the investigation, police learned that a suspect approached the victim, brandished a knife, and demanded property.

There were no reported physical injuries.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted.

As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with Robbery and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

The investigation remains ongoing.
