David CURRIE Was Arrested

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and dangerous driving following a two vehicle collision.

On Friday, March 21, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of a collision between a vehicle and a parked car on Beverly Street in Greater Napanee.

David CURRIE, a 51-year-old from Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – drug
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on April 8, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Ashley BURTENSHAW – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision on the 401 Highway.

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, shortly before 6:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of a collision at the County Road 41 eastbound off-ramp where a vehicle had struck another vehicle while exiting the highway. No injuries were reported.

Ashley BURTENSHAW, a 38-year-old from North Glengarry Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 18, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Tanya HENDRICK – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving following a vehicle stop in Napanee.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle travelling west on Bridge Street. Following an investigation, Tanya HENDRICK, a 38-year-old from Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 18, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Richard MARACLE – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving after leaving a local business.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, shortly before 9:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle on Belleville Road in Tyendinaga Township after a concerned citizen reported that the driver might be impaired.

Richard MARACLE, a 48-year-old from Tyendinaga Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 11, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

LEBLANC – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving after leaving a local business.

On Friday, January 17, 2025, shortly after 12:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle from leaving a parking lot after it was learned the driver was believed to be intoxicated.   

Michelle LEBLANC, a 37-year-old from Greater Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 4, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Kyle SCHENK – Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving following a traffic complaint on Monday evening.

On Monday, January 13, 2025, shortly before 6:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle following a traffic complaint that it was swerving into oncoming traffic on County Road 41 in Greater Napanee.   

Kyle SCHENK, a 34-year-old from Greater Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 4, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Romolo BALESTRA Was Arrested Again

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and numerous other offences following a single vehicle collision on the 401 Highway overnight.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, shortly before 1:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of a collision at the Shannonville Road off-ramp where a heavily damaged vehicle was located unattended. Following a call to police from a nearby location, Romolo BALESTRA, a 34-year-old from Ottawa was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to remain
  • Fail to comply with release order – two counts

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 8, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

28 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and numerous other offences following a single vehicle collision on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, January 2, 2025, shortly after 10:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members attended the scene of the collision just east of Palace Road which resulted in minor injuries to the driver. Following an investigation, Tyler DALTON, a 28-year-old from Kingston was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Careless driving
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 21, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.

Cruiser Collision

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – There were no serious injuries in acollision involving an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) cruiser and another vehicle in Greater Napanee.

It happened on December 25, 2024, around 6:00 p.m., on Bridge Street West.

An officer from the Lennox and Addington County Detachment was responding to a priority call and was attempting to locate a suspect’s vehicle when the collision happened. Both vehicles were travelling slowly at the time.

The officer was transported to hospital as a precaution but returned to work. One of the two people in the other vehicle was checked out by Lennon and Addington County Paramedics.

The investigation is continuing.

VANDEPOL Arrested For Impaired Driving

(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Lennox and Addington County Detachment members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving and numerous other offences following a vehicle stop over the weekend.

On Saturday, December 30, 2024, shortly after 8:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members stopped a vehicle for speeding after it approached the cruiser from behind, at a high rate of speed, on County Road 41.

Brandon VANDEPOL, a 27-year-old from Kingston was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

• Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol

• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

• Fail to surrender licence

• Speeding

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 21, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded.
