WEBSTER Was Arrested – Details Released

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin Detachment, has charged an individual following a traffic complaint.

On March 4, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a member of the Elgin OPP investigated a traffic complaint reported by a staff member of LCBO regarding an intoxicated customer. The suspect motor vehicle was located on Fingal Line near Grandview Road, in the Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired.

The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to Elgin County Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Benjamin WEBSTER, a 42-year-old from Dutton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on April 15, 2025.

Nancy ANDERSON – Drunk Driving

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON) – The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), St. Thomas Detachment has charged an individual following a traffic stop.

On August 4, 2024, at approximately 9:25 p.m., members of the Elgin OPP and the Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit (Delaware Nation at Moraviantown) First Nation Police stopped a passenger vehicle on the westbound Highway 401 near the 146-Kilometer marker, Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich after observing a vehicle driving at a slow rate of speed with non-illuminated taillights.

While speaking to the driver, the investigating officer observed signs of intoxication and a roadside approved screening device (ASD) test was administered, registering a failure. The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Nancy ANDERSON, a 65-year-old from London was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on September 17, 2024.

Stacey EMENY – Drunk Driving

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County (St. Thomas) Detachment located and investigated a vehicle after a Good Samaritan reported a suspected impaired driver.

On March 16, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers with the Elgin County OPP (St. Thomas) Detachment located the vehicle at the OnRoute Service Centre located on the westbound Highway 401, Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich.

While speaking to the driver, the investigating officer observed signs of intoxication, the driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Elgin County OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Stacey EMENY, a 43-year-old of Southwest Middlesex was charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on May 7, 2024.

Lawrence KORNAKER Arrested For Drunk Driving

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County arrested an impaired driver at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.

On March 17, 2024, members of the Elgin County OPP were conducting a Festive RIDE checkpoint on Marsh Line, Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich. At approximately 10:35 p.m., police stopped a passenger vehicle and checked for driver sobriety.

The investigating officer administered a roadside approved screening device (ASD) test, registering a failure. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Middlesex County OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Lawrence KORNAKER, 60-year-old of Wallacetown was charged with the following:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on May 7, 2024.
