Sevag BOYAJIAN Was Arrested

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged another driver with impaired on Highway 401.

On Saturday February 2, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 401. Officers stopped a black pick-up truck after observing it travelling westbound at a higher rate of speed than the posted 110km speed limit. Upon speaking with the driver, police were led into an impaired driving investigation. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand was made to which the individual complied by providing a sample of their breath. With the result, the accused was taken into custody and transported to the Brighton OPP detachment for further testing. Through investigation, the driver was found to be suspended from driving and a warrant existed for their arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Sevag, BOYAJIAN (age 38) of Oshawa Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was additionally charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA), and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 5, 2025.

Attempted Murder

 (TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an attempted murder in the Township of Cramahe.

On November 13, 2024, shortly after 1:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP were called to a residence on Mitchell Road in relation to a dropped 9-1-1 call. One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to public safety.

As a result of the initial investigation, one individual was arrested and charged on November 14, 2024.

On November 28, 2024, members from the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement located and arrested a second individual in Ottawa who was wanted in relation to the incident. The accused was then transported to a detachment in Northumberland.

Serguei PETROV, 41-years-old from Ottawa, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·        Aggravated assault, section 268

·        Pointing a firearm, section 87

The individual was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Canine Unit.

Attempted Murder – Serguei PETROV Wanted By Police

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an attempted murder in the Township of Cramahe.

On November 13, 2024, shortly after 1:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP were called to a residence on Mitchell Road in relation to a dropped 9-1-1 call. One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

As a result, one individual was arrested and charged.

Police are continuing the search for an additional individual in connection to this incident. Serguei PETROV, a 41-year-old from Ottawa, is wanted for aggravated assault and pointing a firearm. He is described as 185 cm (6’1″), 75 kgs (165 lbs), with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is known to frequent Northumberland County and Ottawa.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Canine Unit.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Serguei PETROV is urged to not approach and contact the Northumberland OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.

Attempted Murder – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an attempted murder in the Township of Cramahe.

On November 13, 2024, shortly after 1:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP were called to a residence on Mitchell Road in relation to a dropped 9-1-1 call. One person was located with serious injuries and transported to a hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, Katlyn ATKINSON, 34 years old of Northumberland County, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, contrary to section 289(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 19, 2024.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety. As the investigation is in its early stages, no further details will be released at this time.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch with assistance from OPP Forensic Identification Services, Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Canine Unit.

Mithulan SIVASUTHAN – Assault With Weapon

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested one individual following a report of an assault in Colborne.

On October 8, 2024, at approximately 3:10 a.m., police responded to a report of an individual who rang the doorbell of a dwelling on King Street East, and when the resident answered, they were hit with a sports equipment item.

The accused was located nearby and taken into custody by police. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were not required for the complainant.

Mithulan SIVASUTHAN, 25-years-old, from Colborne, has been charged with:

–              Assault with a weapon

–              Being intoxicated in a public place.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

Skyler AINSWORTH – Assault X2

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual following a report of an assault.

On August 16, 2024, police received a complaint regarding an altercation that took place the previous evening on King Street East in the Township of Cramahe. Injuries to the victim were described as minor.

On August 24, 2024, officers arrested an individual as a result of the investigation.

Skyler AINSWORTH, 37-years-old, from the Municipality of Brighton, has been charged with:

  • Assault – two counts.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

Roger LITTLE – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation.

On August 17, 2024, at approximately 3:10 a.m., a concerned member of the public reported an unresponsive driver in a vehicle on the side of County Road 25 in the Township of Cramahe.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and OPP responded to the report in which the caller advised the vehicle was still running. Police arrived on the scene where the lone occupant was conscious and being assessed by paramedics as a precaution.

Following speaking with the driver, an officer made a demand for the Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver complied with the demand and provided a sample of their breath. As a result, the individual was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

Roger LITTLE, 36-years-old, from Peterborough, has been charged with:

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

–      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date. Their licence was suspended for 90-days and vehicle impounded for seven.

Northumberland OPP remind motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol and drugs. Use a designated driver, cab, rideshare, public transit or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.

Nathan BARRET – Theft, Etc.

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE , ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made an arrest in relation to the theft of a motor vehicle in Colborne.

On August 9, 2024, at approximately 8:05 a.m., OPP responded to a report of an unlocked motor vehicle stolen from outside a business on King Street East.

Officers patrolled the area and a short time later, a vehicle matching the description provided was observed being driven westbound on Highway 401 in the Township of Hamilton. Officers then confirmed that it was the stolen vehicle in question.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the vehicle pulled over at a location off County Road 28 in the Municipality of Port Hope. The driver exited the vehicle and was subsequently arrested by police. The individual would not identify themselves and details were later ascertained through investigation.

Nathan BARRET, 33-years-old, from Binbrook, has been charged with:

–      Theft of motor vehicle

–      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

–      Obstruct Peace Officer

–      Theft under $5,000

–      Operation while prohibited

–      Breach of recognisance.

The accused was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg

Cindy MACNEIL Was Arrested

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – An officer from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was alerted by the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) of a possible prohibited driver.

On July 24, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police were conducting traffic enforcement on County Road 25 in the Township of Cramahe. The in-car ALPR system notified the officer regarding a northbound vehicle being associated with a prohibited driver. Police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and determined the driver to be prohibited from driving along with other offences.

Cindy MACNEIL. 48-years-old, of Cobourg, was arrested and charged with:

–      Operation while prohibited

–      Drive motor vehicle – not equipped with ignition interlock device

–      Drive motor vehicle – no licence.

The accused had their vehicle impounded for 45 days and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

Jeremy HALL – Cocaine & Fentanyl

(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest of a wanted individual and laid charges in relation to drugs.

On April 30, 2024, at approximately 1:20 p.m., an officer was on patrol on County Road 25 when an Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) notification was received in relation to a wanted person.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested on a warrant for a local police service investigation. Police were then led into drug trafficking investigation where 44.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, 14.2 grams of suspected cocaine, $795 in Canadian currency and scales were seized.

Jeremy HALL, 40-years-old, from Grafton has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin).

The street value of the suspected fentanyl is worth approximately $8,050 and suspected cocaine to be $1,280.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date and custody was transferred to the local police service.
