UPDATE: Male Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Investigation
On July 20, 2026, at 11:06 a.m., Belleville Police responded to the area of Cannifton Road and Bell Boulevard. Officers had been advised that a male matching the description of a suspect involved in a stolen vehicle investigation from the previous day had been observed nearby.
At 11:13 a.m., officers located the male in a wooded area. Upon seeing officers, he fled on foot, initiating a brief foot pursuit. The male was taken into custody a short distance away.
As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old Kingston man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:
- Theft of a motor vehicle
- Theft under $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Flight from peace officer
- Dangerous operation X2
- Fail to comply with a release order X3
- Break and enter
He was held for a bail hearing.

Warrants
On July 20, 2026, at 8:58 a.m., Belleville Police responded to the city’s east end for a call for service. Upon arrival, officers observed a female lying on the ground and spoke with her. Upon investigation, it was learned the female had multiple outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants.
As a result, Jessica McBride-Bowers, a 28-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
