Youth Charged with Assault
On June 21, at 7:27 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the city’s north end following a report of an assault.
Upon arrival, it was reported that earlier in the evening, three female youths had initiated a verbal altercation with a youth victim, which escalated into a physical assault. Officers reviewed video footage from the incident and were able to identify the suspects involved.
As a result of the investigation, officers located, arrested, and charged two 15-year-old Belleville females with assault. Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both females were released on Undertakings with scheduled court dates in September.
