Arrest / Impaired Operation – CK26053678

Date: July 23, 2026, 14:15 hrs

Location: McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg

On July 22, 2026, at approximately 14:15 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an intoxicated individual who had left a restaurant on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg in a vehicle.

Officers quickly located the vehicle on Bluewater Line and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested for impaired operation and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further testing.

The driver provided breath samples registering over the legal limit.

The accused was charged with the following offences:

Operation while impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The individual was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was later released with a scheduled future court date of August 31, 2026.

Arrest / IPV – Fail to Comply – CK26053589

Date: July 23, 2026, 06:47 hrs

Location: Chatham

On July 7, 2026, the Chatham-Kent Police responded to an intimate partner violence incident in Chatham.

The investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male accused had repeatedly contacted a 22-year-old female victim, both from Chatham, attended the victim’s residence despite court-ordered conditions and continued communicating with her through messages.

As a result of that investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:

Failure to Comply with an Undertaking x 3

He was subsequently released with conditions, including not attending any location where the victim lives, works, or attends school and not communicating with her directly or indirectly.

On July 22, 2026, at approximately 6:47 hrs., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence in Chatham.

Upon arrival, officers located the accused in the backyard of the residence. Police determined he had attended a location he was prohibited from visiting and had communicated with the victim, which was in breach of his release order.

As a result, the accused was arrested and charged with:

Failure to Comply with a Release Order x 2

The individual was transported to the South West Detention Centre, where he is currently held until his next video court appearance on July 24, 2026.
