Corey POPKIE Was Arrested Again

(PEMBROKE, ON) – Officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Pembroke resident with several offences after a bail violation investigation.   

On Wednesday March 11, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. officers attended a residence in Pembroke in response to a report of bail violations in progress. Police recovered a discarded and damaged GPS ankle monitor at the residence. At approximately 4:30 p.m. police located and arrested an individual in relation to this investigation. Brass knuckles were seized by police during the arrest. 

As a result of this incident 38-year-old Corey POPKIE of Pembroke has been charged with the following CC offences:

  • Mischief under $5000
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Failure to comply with release order – four counts

The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 26, 2026.
