One Sent To Hospital -Alicia SUTHERLAND Arrested

(CALDER TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious two‑vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 655 approximately 8 kms south of Highway 11.

On Monday, March 9, 2026, at approximately 6:20pm, members of the James Bay OPP responded to a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a second passenger vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier in the day out of Hearst. As a result of the collision, one occupant of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that had been reported stolen suffered minor injuries was treated at the scene.

Highway 655 was closed approximately 5 hours as officers investigated the collision scene. The roadway has since reopened.

As a result, Alicia SUTHERLAND, 21-years-of-age, from Constance Lake, was charged with the following:

  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • Possession property obtained by crime – over – $5,000
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on April 7, 2026.
