(Fort Frances, ON) – A drug trafficking investigation in Fort Frances has concluded with the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of over 622 grams of suspected cocaine, an estimated $21,500 in currency, and a quantity of other offence related property.
On February 26, 2026, the Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Kenora OPP CSCU, and the Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit (PAFU) executed search warrants in the Second Street East area of Fort Frances.
Searches conducted by the OPP resulted in the seizure of an estimated $21,500 in cash, over 622 grams of suspected cocaine and a quantity of offence related property. Two individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the case.
Seth BIRD, 31-years old, and Brittany HYATT 29-years-old, both from Fort Frances are jointly charged with one count each of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property or proceeds of crime over $5000.
Both accused were released by police and are scheduled to appear in the Fort Frances Ontario Court of Justice on March 26, 2026, to answer to the charges.
