(MOOSONEE, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of James Bay OPP detachment officers, have charged two individuals following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant in Moosonee.
On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, officers executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence in Moosonee. During the execution of the warrant, police seized six grams of suspected fentanyl, 11 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, with an estimated street value of $2000.
As a result, two persons were charged.
Tyson MARTIN, 39 years-of-age, and June SUTHERLAND, 30 years-of-age, both of Moosonee, have been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Crystal Methamphetamine
The accused persons were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, 2026, in Moosonee.
