As of 4:00 pm on January 28, 2010 members of the various roads departments in Huron County were in the process of removing barricades for all Huron County road closures EXCEPT Highway 8 (Huron Road) between Clinton and Goderich. That stretch of highway will continue to be monitored for visibility.
Motorists are being urged to keep travel to a bare minimum. Winds are still very gusty creating whiteout conditions in isolated locations. Snowploughs are working around the clock to keep ahead of the drifting so drive with extra caution and much less speed.
