(Wingham, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Branch in conjunction with the Wingham Police Service are now able to identify the deceased male found in Wingham on February 12, 2010 behind Josephine Street as Scott HAYES (22) of Wingham. The post mortem on Scott HAYES is continuing today and cause of death has not yet been determined.
Chris WARD (25) of the Wingham area was arrested on February 13th and has been charged with one count of Second Degree Murder. A second male, a 26 year old Wingham area man, was arrested today and will be formally charged on February 15, 2010.
At this time, police believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the public.
