(KINCARDINE, ON.) – The South Bruce OPP are looking for a snowmobile stolen from a residence along Concession 12, Bruce Township during the early morning hours of February 24, 2010. Description of the snowmobile:
o Red 2002 Polaris
o Licence # 920351
o VIN # 4XANP8CSX2B252382
Anyone with information on the stolen snowmobile is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
In light of the recent thefts, the South Bruce OPP would like to offer snowmobile owners the following tips:
o Park your snowmobile in the garage or outbuilding
o If parked outside, select well lit area and secure your snowmobile to a fixed object such as a large tree
o Don’t leave the ignition key with the snowmobile, secure it inside the house or keep it in your pocket
o Consider disabling your snowmobile when not in use. Remove the battery, distributor cap or other equipment that will make it difficult to start and steal your snowmobile
