(SEBRINGVILLE, ON) The OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Gilpin along with members of the Perth County OPP Crime Unit has made an arrest in the death of 1-month-old Skyla Lynn RIVET.
Skyla RIVET was rushed to Children’s Hospital in London Ontario on the 15th of January 2010 suffering from critical injuries. She succumbed to her injuries on the 16th of January.
A forensic post mortem examination cited trauma as the cause of death.
As a result of Skyla’s death, her father, Robert RIVET (27) of Mitchell was arrested on 01 March 2010, and is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder.
