Close to Winthrop Cst. Vu Pham, 37, was in the process of pulling over a vehicle when he was critically shot. Pham was pronounced dead Monday afternoon, leaving behind a wife and 3 children.
In an exchange of up to 20 gun shots, the 70 year old suspect was wounded and is now in a London hospital.
The Special Investigations Unit is still investigating.
