(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) At 5:30 a.m. on Thursday March 18, 2010 a collision between a south-bound Toyota Forerunner and a north-bound tractor trailer on Hwy 7 (Road 119) south of Line 29 resulted in the Highway being closed until 7:07 a.m.
Perth County OPP officers investigating the crash determined that the south bound Toyota being operated by a 19 year old St.Marys man crossed the centreline and struck the drivers side of the tractor trailer. The impact demolished the Toyota and caused extensive damage to the front and side of the tractor trailer. The tractor trailer driver was uninjured while the Toyota driver sustained minor injuries.
The Toyota driver has been charged with careless driving.
