(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid an impaired driving charge.
On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP were dispatched to a report of a person causing damage to a vehicle in a parking lot. The person was arrested for impaired and transported to the Quinte West detachment for further testing.
Sebastien LAVOIE, age 42, from Quebec, was charged with:
· Mischief – destroys or damages property
· Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 16, 2026. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their license suspended for 90 days.
