Male Arrested for Failing to Comply with Release Order

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Cobourg Police responded to a disturbance in the area of King Street and Division Street in Cobourg.  Upon arrival, officers located a male who was known to have an outstanding warrant. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant.  As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old man from Cobourg was charged with Failing to Comply with a Release Order.  The male was held for a bail hearing.


A 53-year-old Cobourg man is facing mischief charges after causing damage to a vehicle in the Town of Cobourg.

At approximately 3:35 p.m., on September 17, 2025, police responded to a report of a male ramming a shopping cart into a car. Police learned that the suspect was walking across the street as the vehicle approached. As the complainant drove past, the accused turned the cart and rammed the vehicle. The complainantโ€™s vehicle sustained minor damage.

As a result of the police investigation, a 53-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
