(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday March 23, 2010 the Perth County OPP in North Perth was advised that damage was done at a rural home north of Kurtzville (north west of Listowel) while the owner was away.
Investigation revealed that the house had been left unattended from March 16th until March 23rd. 2010. During this time unknown persons entered onto the property using ATV’s. The ATV’s were driven through a steep ditch along the laneway which was barricaded at the road.
The culprits attempted to force open the basement door of the house but were unable to do so. Instead they entered a forty foot office trailer which is parked on the property. Entry to it was made by throwing a cinder block through a side window and kicking open the door. Items inside the trailer were strewn about but nothing appears to have been removed.
There are a number of other RV’s and RV trailers on the property which do not appear to have been touched.
