At 10:26 PM on 20 March 2010, Wingham Police Service responded to an alarm at the LCBO Store on Albert Street in Wingham. Upon arrival, police observed that a window had been smashed and entry had been gained. While checking the area, police came across a male suspect who fled on foot into a wooded area on Minnie Street. In doing so, the suspect dropped a backpack containing some of the liquor that had been stolen.
The OPP K-9 unit was requested and attended. The K-9 Unit was unable to locate the suspect.
